ABOUT

Get to know Myriam

Myriam's work sits at the intersection of deep therapeutic care and community-level impact. Specializing in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and emotion-focused approaches, she supports adolescents, adults, and families through evidence-based methods that are structured, warm, and collaborative.

Her clinical experience spans psychological assessment, DBT, trauma-informed therapy, personality dynamics, anxiety, crisis work, suicidality, and high-risk behaviours. She has trained and worked in hospital settings, private clinics, and community organizations, accompanying individuals and families through complex emotional and relational challenges. Her style is grounded in inclusivity, creativity, collaboration, and empowerment.

She works especially well with people who experience their emotions intensely, reflect deeply, and may feel overwhelmed by their inner world or their relationships. Whether you are grappling with identity, relationship conflict, life transitions, or a sense of being stuck, she offers an authentic, compassionate space while helping you build practical tools to foster change, strengthen connection, and regain clarity and direction.

Beyond her clinical practice, Myriam has worked for over a decade in community mental health, policy development, and program implementation. She has built mental-health programs for national organizations and first responders, ensuring high-risk and underserved groups receive trauma-informed, culturally responsive support, and has delivered conferences and training across Canada to broaden mental-health literacy.

She served as a Bell Let's Talk spokesperson and, for several years, as co-chair of the Mental Health Commission of Canada's Youth Council, where she was consulted on national policy and the evaluation of mental-health programs. At 21, she founded a non-profit offering free peer support and chat and phone lines to university students in distress, an initiative that won the McGill Dobson Cup.

Myriam holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Social Studies of Medicine from McGill University and a Graduate Diploma in Child and Youth Work from Concordia University. She is completing her PhD in Clinical and Community Psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal, and practices her therapeutic work under supervision.
