WHAT IT IS

What an assessment is for

A good assessment does more than produce a diagnosis: it produces understanding. It puts words to what you have been noticing, clarifies strengths and difficulties, and shows you what to do next.

Depending on the question, the assessment combines interviews, questionnaires and recognized standardized tests. Results are explained in a feedback meeting and set out in a written report you can share with a school, your employer, your insurer or other professionals.

This service is for parents with questions about their child's development or schooling, and for teens and adults who want to understand difficulties with attention, mood, anxiety or day-to-day functioning.

Depending on the question, the assessment is conducted by a psychologist or a social worker from our multidisciplinary team. Meet the team →

The report is written by a professional who is a member of their regulatory order. With your consent, it can be shared with a school, an employer or an insurer.

Will I get a diagnosis?

When the results support it, the assessment can lead to a diagnosis. Either way, you leave with a clear understanding and practical recommendations.
