Our Services
With you at every step of your journey.
At Kaïa Psychology, we do this work with heart, clarity, and intention. Our services are grounded in trauma-informed care, clinical judgement, and a deep respect for the complexity of each person’s story.
We believe in resilience, in real collaboration, and in offering support that is both structured and deeply human.
We work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are navigating trauma, emotional distress, high-conflict dynamics, legal situations, and major life transitions. We also hold a strong commitment to supporting first responders and helping professionals who carry heavy responsibilities.
Whether you are seeking therapy, assessment, psycholegal or psychosocial expertise, or group interventions, you will be met with presence, honesty, and care — at your pace, and with your goals at the centre.
Psychotherapy Services
Kaïa Psychology offers individual psychotherapy to help clients strengthen emotional balance, foster self-understanding, and navigate personal challenges.
Our clinicians support clients through concerns such as: trauma and post-traumatic stress (including complex trauma and recovery from interpersonal violence), emotion regulation and impulsivity difficulties, anxiety and panic, depression and low self-esteem, relationship patterns, attachment and boundaries, burnout and life transitions, and identity development and self-acceptance.
Our therapeutic approaches include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. Each treatment plan is individualized and integrates psychoeducation, skill development, and insight-oriented work.
Psycholegal Services
Kaïa Psychology offers psycholegal services to support individuals, families, and legal professionals through objective, evidence-based psychological expertise within legal and judicial contexts.
Our clinicians work in complex situations involving: high-conflict family dynamics and separation, parental capacities and caregiving functioning, risk factors and safety concerns, trauma-related allegations, credibility and relational functioning, youth protection (DYP) involvement, and court-ordered or legally mandated psychosocial assessments.
Our professional framework includes comprehensive file review, structured clinical interviews, psychometric and observational measures, and collaboration with attorneys and legal partners. Each mandate aims to clarify the psychological issues relevant to legal decision-making and to contribute to fair, structured, and ethically grounded outcomes that prioritize safety, functioning, and the best interests of those involved.
Psychosocial Services
Kaïa Psychology offers psychosocial services to support individuals, children, and families through practical, structured, and system-oriented interventions that address real-life functioning and relational dynamics.
Our clinicians—particularly our social workers—work in complex situations involving: family conflict and co-parenting challenges, parent–child relational difficulties, behavioural concerns, adjustment to separation or life transitions, emotional dysregulation in daily contexts, and involvement with external systems such as schools, community services, or youth protection (DYP).
Our professional approach includes comprehensive psychosocial assessment, solution-focused and strengths-based interventions, parent coaching, and active collaboration with relevant partners. Interventions may involve individual, dyadic, or family-based work, depending on the needs of the situation.
Each mandate aims to support stabilization, improve communication and functioning, and facilitate concrete, sustainable changes within the individual’s environment and relationships.
Community Services
Kaïa Psychology offers community psychology services to support organizations, schools, and community groups in strengthening their programs, practices, and well-being initiatives.
Our clinicians collaborate with partners around areas such as: understanding the needs of the populations served, program evaluation and continuous improvement, staff training and capacity building, development of trauma-informed and inclusive practices, systems-level consultation, and initiatives that promote meaningful, sustainable change.
Our intervention framework includes needs assessment, program evaluation, consultation, training, workshop facilitation, and implementation support. Each initiative is tailored to the organization's context and grounded in evidence-based, community-informed practices.
Assessment Services
Kaïa Psychology offers comprehensive psychological assessments to clarify functioning, emotional well-being, and adaptive capacities, and to support individualized treatment planning, accommodations, and family interventions.
Services include psychoeducational, psychodiagnostic, psychosocial, and parental capacity or family dynamics evaluations, including psycholegal mandates when applicable. Each assessment involves a clinical interview, standardized testing, integrated interpretation, a written report with practical recommendations, and a feedback session.
All assessments are conducted by doctoral-level clinicians, under supervision when applicable, in accordance with OPQ standards and ethical guidelines.
Groups & Workshop Services
Kaïa Psychology offers groups and workshops to support individuals, families, and professionals through structured, interactive, and skills-based learning experiences grounded in clinical expertise.
Our programming addresses a range of themes, including: emotional regulation and coping strategies, stress and burnout, trauma-informed care, interpersonal effectiveness and communication, parenting and co-parenting support, high-conflict dynamics, and personal growth. Groups may be tailored for specific populations (e.g., adolescents, parents, first responders) or designed as general skill-building spaces.
Our professional approach integrates evidence-based frameworks (including DBT- and schema-informed interventions), psychoeducation, and experiential exercises that promote reflection, skill acquisition, and real-world application. Each group or workshop aims to provide practical tools, foster connection, and support meaningful, sustainable change in participants’ daily lives and relationships.
