Élise-Mercier Gouin, M.Ps.

Psychologist and Clinical Supervisor 

Élise-Mercier Gouin is a psychologist who earned a master's degree in psychology from the University of Montreal in 1973. She worked for 35 years in the Psychosocial Assessment and Family Mediation Service at the Montreal Youth Center (now CIUSSS Centre-Sud), primarily as an expert witness for the Superior Court and for 15 years as a mediator. She was a clinical assistant for the last 10 years of her practice. She has participated in or facilitated several workshops (shared custody, parental alienation, child advocacy, supervised visits, etc.). She has facilitated workshops on parental communication for separated parents and parenting after separation sessions offered by the Ministry of Justice. She provides training and supervision, activities she continues to pursue with private experts and CISSS experts.
